Care & Repair
A piece meant
to be kept.
Worn now, passed on later. A few notes on care — and how to reach us if a piece needs attention.
I.
Store separately.
Soft pouch over open air. Away from light and humidity. Metal pieces are best kept apart; pearls are best kept in linen rather than airtight.
II.
Remove before.
Lotion, perfume, sunscreen, chlorine, salt water. Pearls in particular dislike all of the above — the nacre is porous and chemicals dull it quickly.
III.
Wipe after wear.
Soft, dry cloth after each wear. Never an ultrasonic cleaner for pearl, opal, emerald, or any piece with a porous stone. When in doubt, soft is right.
Repair
If a piece needs attention, send it to us.
Once a year, every piece is welcome back for a complimentary inspection — settings, prongs, and clasps checked, and a re-polish where warranted. Write to us and we will send instructions for sending it in.
For stone resetting, prong tightening, polishing, re-stringing, or any repair the piece may need over time — we are the right place. Write with photographs; our team will return with a quote and a timeline before any work begins.
